Tracey L. Hackett, Esq.

Founder & Principal

A native of Detroit, Michigan, Tracey Hackett brings more than three decades of experience in family law, municipal litigation, business and employment disputes, and nonprofit representation. A  graduate of Howard University School of Law, she is admitted to practice in Georgia, New Jersey, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.

Tracey began her municipal career as a Public Defender for the City of Orange, New Jersey, and later served as First Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of East Orange, where she co-managed a team of internal and external attorneys and served as lead Labor and Employment Attorney. 

She went on to become Senior Attorney IV with the City of Atlanta Law Department, responsible for all in-house appeals and serving as lead counsel to the Civil Service Board Team, representing city departments in employee discipline matters. In that role, she briefed and argued cases before the Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the Eleventh Circuit.

In addition to her municipal service, Tracey maintained a private practice for many years focused on commercial real estate, civil litigation, and family law. She has represented nonprofits including a Virginia chapter of the NAACP and served as Director of Operations and Development for a nonprofit dedicated to human services and educational leadership.

Tracey is also a Senior Litigation Associate at Davis Law Group – Trial Attorneys. With her resolution-first approach and strong courtroom advocacy, she advances the firm’s mission of providing strategic, client-centered representation that protects and empowers every client.
